Casting powders, slag-forming additives

In the steel industry, our products are used in casting powders. In continuous casting of steel, these powders function as a protective layer between the steel and the copper chill mould or as a slag-forming additive.

In the foundry industry, our products are used particularly as a binder in clay-bonded moulding sand. Our fused silica is highly suitable for use as cores, as moulding material in precision casting or as strengthening stucco.
