Industrial minerals are essential raw materials in the production of bricks, roof tiles, wall and floor tiles, sanitary fittings and similar products. We have a comprehensive range of mineral raw materials available for both the ceramic masses and for the glazes and frits.

Coarse and fine ceramics, Ceramic masses

Sibelco Europe MineralsPlus supplies various clays, which provide the natural basis for ceramic masses. We also supply mineral raw materials which improve the properties of ceramic masses and give the products their colour. Casiflux and Vitroflux, for example, can be used as sinter additive to improve the drying properties or to lower the coefficient of expansion. Inducal, Portacal, Mangalox, Portachrom and Portafer are excellent pigments for ceramic applications.

Glazes and frits

A good glaze has a smooth surface, an attractive gloss and is resistant to heat and external substances. Casiflux, Vitroflux and Portabor each improve these properties in their own unique way.
